About Me
Hi there! I’m Kris—a passionate traveler and hobbyist photographer with an insatiable curiosity for the world and a heart for adventure. I don’t just dream of travel—I turn those dreams into reality. Whether it’s journeying through all 50 U.S. states, discovering the breathtaking beauty of our 63 national parks, or immersing myself in the history and culture of countless UNESCO World Heritage sites, I’m on a mission to uncover the wonders of this incredible planet, one journey at a time.
When I turned 30, I made a promise to myself: visit at least one new country every year. So far, I’ve stayed true to that promise—even managing travel to Kenya just before the pandemic changed everything. I’m not just ticking off destinations; I’m crafting unforgettable itineraries, making meaningful connections, and inspiring others to embrace the spirit of adventure.
My Travel Style 🧳
I plan my own itineraries, balancing solo explorations with trips alongside friends, and occasionally joining small group tours. I love hiring local guides to enrich my experiences, usually booking them ahead of time. When it comes to accommodations, I prefer boutique hotels and Airbnbs, with a strong emphasis on location over luxury—though I’m always game for a splurge on a place full of history, character, or a view that takes my breath away. For flying trips, I find that traveling with just a carry-on suitcase and a backpack that fits neatly under the airplane seat is the perfect setup. A big part of my travel experience revolves around food and drinks. I’m all about seeking out local flavors, from unpretentious local favorites to restaurants that celebrate the heart of regional cuisine. And I’ll never pass up the chance to sip a craft cocktail in a cozy, off-the-beaten-path speakeasy.
